Very nice location, very charmingly decorated rooms with a good touch for design. Excellent shower, very romantic. Also nice - all the animals that are walking around on the property.

No comfortable chairs in front of the house, no refrigerator in the room and at the same time a can of coke can be bought for €2! euro. Which I regard absolutelty ridicilous. Lower the prices, and the drinks will actually sell!

The setting. Pics don't give justice to the beauty of the place. The girls who do everything around, sorry I don't remember their names, are friendly, courteous and very helpful. The food is fresh and prepared just for you. We wanted a place to stay near Ronda, and found a destination on itself, not wanting to leave just to enjoy the setting. If ever back in the vicinity of Ronda, this casa rural will certainly be part of the itinerary. Best Regards, Carlos and family. (Arg)

The farmhouse and converted outbuildings were very historic and maitained very neatly. Our kids loved all the farm animals (chickens, ducks, roosters, rabbits) that roamed freely on the property. Swimming pool was cool and very refreshing after a hot day in the heat of Ronda. Property is very secure and a short distance (6 km or so) from Ronda. Breakfasts are good and farmhouse style cooking is available. Owner and staff were all very pleasant. Would go back again.

Only has spanish satellite tv so not good for english speaking kids or adults who want to catch up news. WiFi signal strength was very poor and only available in the eating area (nothing in the rooms).

Delicious breakfast - freshly squeezed oj, warm crispy rolls. Lovely room - lay in bed with wood burning stove alight in corner and listened to the silence. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location.

Property has two gates along its driveway. Would have been helpful to know this, and how to open them, before arriving in the dark. We phoned reception and they opened them.

Peace and quiet. The pool, hearing the sound of birds singing and insects buzzing by. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and horses neighing.

Only breakfast was provided (at an extra cost). We would have liked to eat in on at least one of the nights. However, there are plenty of ventas within easy reach by car so no problem!

Casa Rural Los Pastores was a great place for us to stay. It is situated less than 5 minutes drive from Ronda but is sat in beautiful grounds with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The staff were friendly, very helpful and our room was clean and well presented. It served us as the perfect place to have relaxing evenings after wandering around Ronda during the day.

The hotel staff insisted on paying the total costs or part of the costs in cash for a reason that I could not understand. In reality there was not the slightest problem with the telephone connection. Also the price of meals (home made but really simple food and of whatever they can found in their fridge) is extremely exaggerated, and as for the dinner no pricelist as available in advance. This is not an honest way to receive guests.

The environment and the cosiness

The room was very nice and homely. The staff were also very helpful and made sure our stay was pleasant.

Probably best if you come here with a car rather than trying to walk into town. The distance to town is not that great (5km or so) but the first part of the road is part othe highway and difficult to walk along for fear of oncoming trucks. This is by no means a comment on the hotel or its location, simply a note identifying that it is best to stay at this place if you are driving and not just backpacking.

The surrounding area is stunning. They have converted an old farmhouse/ ranch into a stunning guest house. All the rooms are individual and beautifully decorated, in-keeping with the outback/ countryside theme. There is a fireplace in the room and you receive a free basket of logs on your first night. Lovely pool and a great place to stay in short distance to Ronda.

Beautiful, modern well decorated room on a nice horse farm. Beautiful breakfast/dining room and bar. You have to fill in the form for breakfast every day. Nice to have a day at the pool. Not far from Ronda. City is small an not as spectacular as everybody says :-(

Smell from the bathroom's sink, so keep the door from the bathroom closed at night. Nobody spoke English, so we could not ask if it was still possible to have dinner (no adverts anywhere) or do the horse back riding (we didn't made a reservation in advance). Although, the staff is very friendly and tries to help as much as they can :-) . A lot of flies, but that's normal in Andalucia in September. Poor route description: from Ronda you have to take the road to Algaciras, this is the A369, a little bit further down the road than camping El Sur.

We stayed one night. We liked the rural setting and the wonderful cool breezes that blew that evening, though I don't know how typical that was. The pools looked fun and inviting, but we didn't have time to try them.

We booked an apartment, but since it had an ant problem, we were given two doubles and access to the kitchen for the same price. That was the best solution possible, but it was not the same as having our own kitchen. The room on the lower floor had the damp smell of a basement room.

Everything! Staff was very helpful, limited English but used computer to help w/translation. Prepared an excellent dinner so no need to leave property, good value. Room was very clean, bed large and comfortable. Very quiet at night. A truly relaxing place to stay, a nice break from the village/city touring sights on our trip! Highly recommend, just wish we could have stayed longer.
